Glasgow Doors Open Day

11-17th September 2017

An annual festival celebrating the city's architecture, culture and heritage offering a unique opportunity to visit some of Glasgow's more interesting and historical buildings. This year's event includes Bilson Eleven, a fine dining restaurant within one of the first townhouses to be built in Dennistoun and the Drygate Brewery, an industrial unit now producing craft beers. Bounce & Rhyme

We are a children's group, similar to Cubs or Brownies, currently for 4 - 10 year olds (though we'd like to expand the age range). Digi-PALS-Dennistoun

Glasgow Libraries volunteer-led Digi-PALS programme could be the helping hand you need to learn how to print, text, shop online or search for a job. Digi-PALS are stationed at 14 of the city's libraries with Dennistoun Library running their session every Tuesday from 10am - 1pm. Digi-PALS sessions can last from five minutes to an hour, depending on the type of query, with volunteers providing one to one support.

Dennistoun Photographers Group
Dennistoun Photographers are you interested in learning photography? Our aim is to promote interest and active participation in all aspects of photography and to arrange a weekly programme of events covering basic techniques, practical evenings, demonstrations and visual presentations. Come along and share ideas and learn camera techniques in an environment of encouragement. Whether you have an old 35mm in the attic or no camera at all there'll be something for you at dennistoun photographers group.

The New Den Cafe

Dennistoun Diggers Community Garden
We run a small community garden on Circus Drive in Dennistoun. The garden is a space for people in the community to come together, exchange skills and grow food together. We have a mix of personal and community growing space. We are always looking for new members to get involved whether it be just to come help plant, do a bit of weeding. Dennistoun Slow Spin Cycle Group
This is a new group aimed at inspiring people of all abilities to get on, or back on their bikes. Through the group the intention will be to organise local trips where the emphasis is on having a leisurely cycle with time for chat & stops to admire the views.
