Rainbows and Brownies in Dennistoun

Hello all

Do you have a daughter/niece/sister aged 5-7? Does she like crafts, baking, games and making new friends? Then Rainbows could be just the thing for her!

We are the 60th Glasgow Rainbows Unit, based at Dennistoun New Parish Church on Armadale Street. We meet on Tuesdays from 6.30pm for an hour and offer a range of activities for girls.

If you'd like to register your 5-7 year old, pop down to the church hall on a Tuesday and ring the bell just before 6.30pm and we can have a chat.

We also run a Brownies group at the same time and place for girls aged 7-10.

For more information you can find us on Facebook and Twitter - just search for "60th Glasgow Rainbows". For more general information about local Girl Guiding, search online for "Girl Guiding Glasgow".

We hope to welcome some new faces soon!

Hi we have recently moved area and looking to enrol my daugther Hayley aged 6 years old to the rainbows/brownies as we want to help her meet children in the area and really enoys arts and crafts and feel this is the perfect place to do this. She is quite shy at first but once she gets to know people she is a bubbly active girl. Are we able to come along next Tuesday if that's okay? Thanks.

Hi Fiona

The best thing to do is to go to the GirlGuiding website (don't think I can link it, so just ask Google) and register your daughter. If you select 60th Glasgow Rainbows as your first choice, it will send notification to the Rainbows leader so she can connect with you personally.

The original message above is from a few years ago so now it's best to register through the official site to ensure the Rainbows unit has space and to arrange a time to visit. This will also give the leader a chance to fill you in on the details ahead of the first meeting, making it easier on the night.

Hope that helps!
