Parkhead and Bridgeton Jobcentre Plus offices to close
The Department for Work and Pensions plan to close half the job centres in Glasgow including Parkhead and Bridgeton by 2018. Benefit claimants travelling to those offices will then have to go to Shettleston Jobcentre.

Closure of Dennistoun Post Office
All, yet another attempted to downgrade services in the East End.
They're trying to sell the post office in Annfield Place (again!!). If you want to support a campaign to keep it open, please could you add your name to the online petition. Award Winning Celino's Extend West
The winner of Scotland's Best Trattoria at the Scottish Italian Awards this year 2016 went to Celino's in Alexandra Parade. The family run business established in 1982 has also announced that they have received the keys to their new premises in Partick which they expect to open in early spring of next year.

Everlasting Arms Christmas Concert

The Everlasting Arms (TEAM), 12 Whitehill Street, Dennistoun
Come and join us at TEAM Church Glasgow for a Gospel Christmas. There will be singing, feet tapping and great music inspired by the miracle of Christmas. We have guests performances by The Kingdom Choir from London and more. Tickets are free. We take donations. All proceeds will go to supporting the Everlasting Foodbank. Christmas treats will be on sale downstairs on the night.

Dennistoun Diggers Garden Workout!

Who needs an early morning fitness bootcamp, when you can have a 'gentle' lunchtime workout at your local Community Garden! We've been re-building the garden this year and the main job for the day is to empty and dismantle 4 large raised beds. The more people we can get along, the quicker we can get it done :-) If you have your own spades it would be appreciated if you bring them with you. A workout + volunteering = Lots of feel good factor!
