Another good read

I have just read "Handstands in the Dark" by Janey Godley. It's autobiographical, and I'd recommend as an eye-opener for those of us who had a more sheltered east-end upbringing. She was a child in Shettleston in the sixties a then lived in the Calton as an adult. Once started, the book is hard to put down. The difficulties she had to overcome seemed endless...but she got there in the end and is now quite famous!
