Twin tower blocks across from forge retail park

I'm looking to gather some info about these tower blocks. Anyone i have spoken to deems them an eye sore. Do people still live there. Does anyone know more about their future or history.
Thanks

Built in 1968, full of asbestos and other things, due for demolision this year. Whitevale block is empty, Bluevale nearly empty.
Good riddance.

A blot on the face of civilisation they may be, but a damn fine landmark when lost and trying to orientate yourself.

Are they definitely being torn down, I had heard that one was empty.
Any idea what they will be replaced with?

Can't wait to see them gone. I live right next door, will be interesting to see how they're demolished. I reckon they will be dismantled .

I heard it was next year. Fingers crossed its this year. They'll no doubt just build smaller flats

If the towers looked better and served a positive social purpose would that give justification for keeping them.
The cost of dismantling them will probably be quite costly and no doubt take a long time. I would refer to the tower blocks of Govan and Ibrox that are still being dismantled a good few years on.
