Did the cubic street post office ever get closed down? Not sure what the outcome was after the whole uproar about it. And if so, does anyone know exactly where the new one is?Thanks

If you scroll down to 28th Feb, there's a huge thread about it closing. It has closed but couldn't tell you where the new one is exactly. The original thread mentions it.

There are three news stories that tell the tale at dennistouncc.org.uk/tag/cubie-street

From Monday 28 January, the service relocated to a new delivery office at Glasgow South East Delivery Office, 14 Fullarton Drive, Glasgow, G32 8FA.

The opening hours at the new location are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 07:00 to 18:00. Wednesday 07:00 to 20:00. Saturday 07:00 to 14:00.

There is a free redelivery service to your address on your preferred day, or to another address in the same postcode area on your preferred day (including Saturdays).

Alternatively, for a small fee, you can arrange for the item to be delivered free to another address within the same postcode area (including some Post Office branches).

Full details can be found at royalmail.com/redelivery

Customer service number: 0845 601 1399

The Cubie Street closure won't be undone, but local Councillors and MPs have been taking various types of action (described in more detail elsewhere on this forum and via the community council site) in order to mitigate the effects of the closure, and to prevent similarly stealthy operations by Royal Mail at other locations in the future.
