strangers at door

Has anyone else had strangers knock at door looking for someone that doesn't live in your home? It happened for second time in a week tonight and as I live alone I feel vulnerable, as if they were 'casing' the place.

Call the police. I wouldn't feel comfortable with that.

I know how you feel, ive had that a couple of times in the past and have come to the conclusion that they are checking that no one is in, so they can come back later and break in, Â sorry i dont mean to frighten you but i think that is the reality, i dont know if you live in a tenement or main door flat, perhaps you should contact the police for advice on your security.

Are you sure the people in your house before you weren't dodgy? Guy before me in my house was a drug dealer who got kicked out. I get all sorts of knocks at my door looking for him because of it.

I've been in my house 10 years so it isnt that. Reported to the police anyway, but just got the heebie jeebies.

Weird. This happened to me on Saturday. The man seemed perfectly respectable and said he'd been told his friend lived at my address and he wanted to visit because the 'friend' had cancer. I've been in my flat for several years.

Now that sounds very dodgy, think about it they need to tell u something convincing in case u answer the door, and just because he's dressed respectable doesn't  mean he is respectable!!!!!
