Whatever happened to the 'Banksy' at the back of Nakodar Grills wall?

But wasn't it covered over with perspex at one point then seemed to disappear?

"Surely this isn't a real Banksy?" - so what is? Better phone him up and check.

No need for sarcasm. I just didnt think it was a real one. I've seen a few real ones and I'm pretty sure this was a copy cat. Like the hundreds of other stencil grafitti all over the country trying to look like Banksy.

Well apologies - I've just had a look online and it is real. So sorry but its understanable that I thought it wasn't real. Its pretty easy to creat the smaller peices he does.

it is a real banksy, it was done around 10yrs ago at the same time as he did the other ones around Glasgow (the majority of these are now gone or have worn away). there are still traces (and I mean traces) of some of his Monkeys scattered around the city centre - a couple near the art school and one on sauchiehall st. I believe he did briefly stay with a friend in dennistoun as there was a couple of other stencils done in the area at the time but they were quickly painted over/removed as he was largely unknown at the time.

Am a bit confused as I remember seeing it there with perspex or a frame over it and then it looked as if it had disappeared but now I can see another one which is clear as day. So is this a second one or the orginal one and i've imagined it was taken off at one point?

Think this article sheds some light on the two Banksys.

Noticed it when I drove down the hill today, I can assure you it is still there :)
