Hello!
I'm excited to be posting here to introduce you, my fellow east-enders to a new food place we are going to be opening on Duke Street soon. We'll be serving up the most delicious, freshly bar-b-que-smoked burgers, ribs and sandwiches to takeaway and sit in. We will be offering home-made, authentic American food in our unique and fun shop with lunch deals, student discounts and specials.
As a life long east-ender i've grown tired of having only a couple of decent dining options so i've finally decided to do something about it!
This is the very first place we've announced it and I'd like to invite you to 'like' and/or 'follow' our facebook and twitter pages (and share them too, if you like!):
www.facebook.com/dennistounbarbeque
www.twitter.com/dennistounbbq
I'll be keeping these accounts up to date with what we're up to as we move in in the coming weeks.
Of course if there are any questions, recommendations, comments - that's why I'm here :)
Thanks!
John

Tried the Dennistoun BBQ at the weekend and it was absolutely delicious, had a burger, ribs, wings (which were very hot. It's very like Buddy's in the South side. Just what Dennistoun needed, GOOD JOB!

Foodie, it's at 585 Duke Street, the part between Armadale and Meadowpark. It has been opening "soon" for quite some time.

No reply so far from DBBQ, but had a look at the cached facebook page and see that the address is 585 Duke Street. Has anybody local seen it and if so does it look like it's near ready for opening? Thanks.

I'll be staying with friends in Dennistoun during the first 2 weeks in December. Will the DBBQ be open by then? And what number in Duke Street is it? Thanks.

I totally second what Elle has said - milkshakes are a must! My husband could live on burgers, so looking forward to it opening and giving it a try. The 50s decor/jukebox idea is fab too

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words!
It will be near the Halifax on Duke Street.
I'm glad someone asked about the vegetarian option (although judging by the name you put i can't tell if you are trolling or not ;) - I'm very pleased to say that we'll be offering a completely vegetarian version of our signature burger, no frozen breadcrumb veggie burger nonsense here.

Seems a bit rum posting "likes" on Facebook for a restaurant which does not, currently, exist??!!
#6 - L. McCartney replied on the 3/10/2013 1:01:17 PM
I'd love to hear what vegetarian and vegan options there'll be on the menu.

Really looking forward to this. Dennistoun needs new restaurants and this sounds great!

As someone who's made a few trips over to Buddies on the Southside I can't tell you how glad I am to hear about this new venture. This will appeal to a lot of people in the area. As much as we seem to love our Italian food round here, we have more than enough places serving it. Will be nice to have something a wee bit different. Best of luck with it.
