Wullie, it probably is as they were the only Firths that lived in Coventry Drive, if my memory is correct they went to one of the Schemes, I believe it was Ruchazie.

Hi folks I moved to 121 Coventry Drive on 1945 with my mum and dad and two sisters Rene and Isabel.
My best friends were John Lloyd who lived in the last close with twin sisters, Norman McLean, Eddie Garrity
Ian Riddle, Jack Fitzgerald, Vivian Leach, Aileen Ross. Vivian married John Lloyd. They were wonderful times. I also remember the Accrow scaffolding yard where we were often chased by the foreman for playing hide and seek and the street games kick the can and alevio and races round the lamppost. A truly great place to stay. My wife Maisie (nee Todd) remembers Jan Boyd and Maureen Ross from school swimming, we now live in Rutherglen, happy memories.

Hi everyone, I just came across this page when searching for info about Coventry Drive. My Grandfather Benjamin Shepherd lived here for the first couple of years of his life until his mum Catherine Nee Forrest died in 1911 . He then went into care with his brother Archibald. They ended up at a farm in Abriachan, Inverness. I don't expect anyone will remember this family now but any old photos that anyone is willing to share would be much appreciated. They lived at 105 Coventry Drive in 1911 just before Catherine died . Cheers , Yvonne

My name is Lorraine Hull née Garrity and my dad's family lived on Roslea Drive Dennistoun during 50s and 60s. My dad was Eddie Garrity, he had a brother John and his parents were John and Ina. John died around 1958 and Ina around 1970. My dad has sadly passed quite young . My happiest childhood memories were visiting Ina on Roslea Drive and wondered if anyone out there knew the family and could give me any info. Kind Regards Lorraine

I see a post by my old pall Billy McMaster , we had a great time in Coventry Dr , do you remember our attempt to cycle to Stirling I think you had moved to Ruchazie by then unfortunately we didn't quite make it, my cycling went up a few gears and became a member of the Glasgow Nightingale cycling club and went on to race both hear and in Belgium and had a reasonable amount of success, I still ride the bike with some of my old club mates . I now stay in Erskine, my son stays in Ayr and has 3 children, my Daughter is married, unfortunately they can't have kids but have two large cats.
Hope this finds you and your wife well.
Jimmy
