Letter from Edzell re. Security

Paul posted on the 10/11/2013 5:09:58 PM

Does anyone know if there will be a security guard patrolling all buildings, or just those affected by the fire/doors getting kicked in? A bit confused after the letter from Edzell today.

Means nothing to me - this just about the new builds?

What's this in relation too? What's Edzell.

I got a letter from Edzell as I live in the New Build about changing over the Security to a new Company.

Edzell are the factor. Letter addressed to all apartments: Hillfoot Street/Whitehill Court/Whitehill place/Finlay Drive/roselea drive. Letter says "The patrol officer will now cover the internal common stairwells and corridors in addition to the external areas"

I got this letter too with no explanation as to why  they are changing the security company or why the hours were increasing. I figured it may have something to do with the fire but Edzell really should have given the owners an explanation. It wasn't that long ago that they were asking us all he we wanted to stop having security altogether!

I got this letter as well as one from the police asking questions about the fire. It seems obvious enough that people are worried there is a person who is starting fires in the area and want to ensure that there are no couches/furniture left between flats again.

Has it been determined how the fire was started?

someone who lived in the affected flats stated it was a couch left between flats that had been set on fire. The police are also asking about furniture left in the closes. So seems this is the cause.

I recon the police should just say what went on fire because it's easier to determine the cause if people know.

Hi All,

Well this letter has circulated with regards to on going problem in 39 whitehill place. I live in one of the flat in the building and for past 6 months some teenagers get access to the ground floor of the building at night and vandalise the property. Essentially on ground floor there are no flats and taking this opportunity they drink alcohol, smoke and subsequently they break walls, urinate and attempt to burn carpets which is more serious. After repetitive complaints to police they were not able to determine the method they gain access into property. However due to the big fire recently all the letting agencies and landlords have become serious so consequently police must have instructed to circulate the latter to respective tenants.

Has there been any more fires?
