Nurseries & Registered Childminders

Andy Collins posted on the 10/01/2014 5:06:00 PM

I wonder if anybody can give me some advice. I have an 8 month baby with my partner due to return to her full time position and are at the stage of looking at nurseries or childminders. Would anybody be able to give some recomendations of any nurseries or childminders in the Dennistoun area?

Thanks in advance

You could try the Council Nurseries that take babies (from about 6 weeks I think).  They are Onslow Drive and Dennistoun Early Years.  I got both my kids in at 9 months.  It all depends on space though so there is normally a waiting list.  Still worth putting them down on the list though as they are cheaper than other nurseries.

I put my son on the council waiting list when he was a couple of months old and got offered a place when he was 2/12 so get an application in there asap.

In the meantime you should look at PlayAway Nursery across from the Tennent's Brewery in Sydney Street. It's a lovely nursery very bright, clean and the staff are wonderful. My son thoroughly enjoyed his time there and I felt very content. Couldn't recommend them more highly.
