Well there was definetly singing from the church last night at 11.30pm this is not acceptable

our church was empty that night, so if there was loud noise it was not us.

Did anyone else hear noise last night (Sunday 18 May)? I thought I heard organs and singing up until the wee hours of the morning, sounded quite haunting.

I think it has made a difference, I never heard any noise. I was out most of Friday night though. But thanks very much for trying to sort it out.

Hi all. We have moved to our smaller room to try and limit the noise.
Sorry for all the inconvenience it has caused.
We had our meeting tonight. Was the noise still audible?
If so we can still do more to reduce it.
Thanks alot for your patience.

Thanks for your response. We are sorry to complain but it is really noisey. Thanks for working to sort this out

Hi, we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We have a night vigil once a month on a Friday. We were not aware that our sound was so audible outside the building. When we received a visit from the council we reduced the volume considerably in response and we are now taking further measures to ensure that you all are not disturbed. Thank you kindly.

I totally agree with Bill - approach the church directly and be strong but polite.

Why don't a couple of the neighbours get together and go across to the Church and speak to the people concerned, you are obviously getting nowhere with the Police or the Council.

It is not a church choir, it is a woman, someone playing the keyboard and someone on drums. It always starts really late at night and goes on till 1:30-2am. It's really loud and often stops, you think that's it and then starts up again. Maybe the are rehearsing. Someone from the church did post this before, but they keep doing it.

Why would a Church be choir singing at 1am? Seems very weird to me.

Try Safer Glasgow - www.saferglasgow.com/. They're helping us deal with some nuisance neighbours and have been very responsive, although I have to say I live close to that church but have heard nothing late at night. Obviously don't live that close.

That's awful! Contact the council.

Well I called the council who were really helpful and went to the church to speak to them at 12:55. Then I'm lying in bed, it's now 1:40 and the singing has started again. To whoever has connections to the church, please have some respect for thy neighbour. I think it says something about that in the bible!

Seriously! Again! It's 12:30 at night! The lights went on and singing started about 11pm. It's very rude and disrespectful. I don't want to but I'll give it 10 more minutes and I will need to call the police or the council.

Would it be worth contacting the council? Im sure that would be classed as noise polution. Ive posted about them before and they were very helpful when I had issues with loud music coming from a neighbour.

I will phone that number the next time. I know my neighbour called the police last year as you could hear loud singing and music until 3am. I dont know if the police did anything.

Extremely thoughtless - clearly not thinking about their neighbours

This might not be popular but I'd be calling 101. Would you put up with being kept awake if it was a neighbour making that kind of noise? Or singing that was coming from a non religious building?
