Incident on Duke Street
Anon posted on the 2/02/2014 7:54:53 PM
Hi, does anyone know what happened at the TSB on Friday 31st? I seen police stopping people using the cash machine and when I walked past about an hour later, they were dusting it down for finger prints. I've tried checking the news to see if anything has been said about it but I cant seem to find anything. Anyone got any idea?

Ex Dennistoun - thanks for your reply - appreciate the concern - wasn't suggesting anyone shares info that shouldn't be shared but Dennistoun is a good community - people look out for each other - would be useful to know what had happened if it was in the public domain incase anyone missed the news report - I assumed we would all look out for each other and raise awareness of any news articles/report on the incident - not suggesting someone shares info that the police might not know. thanks.

It might be an innocent enquiry and call me suspicious if you like, but if I had "any further info. about this" I would be giving it to the police and not to a public forum. If anyone wants further information why don't they ask the police? No offence to the enquirer but you could be anybody.

If anyone has any further info about this or has seen something on the news please let us know - I'm a young woman myself and often use that bank machine and the others on Duke Street. I'm assuming it wouldn't have been during the day as Duke Street is always busy, but I'm often up there late at night coming back from a friends flat and sometimes find myself alone on the street. It's worrying given it's usually so busy around there.

Oh god, that's horrible. Hope the poor woman is ok. I seen the police at the bank at about 5ish so must have happened between at least half 4 to 5.

Any ideas as to what time of day this was?

Apparently a young woman was mugged at knifepoint while lifting cash out the machine
