Building works, joiners and plumbers

Hello, we have recently started work on our kitchen and found an old immersion heater. It is a howdens one. It is still connected electrically and plumbed in but we now take our water from a combi. Could anyone tell me if these old boilers were left for a reason? They seem to be connected to old lead pipes(possibly) probably why it was changed to a combi. We either need to get rid off it and capped or leave it and box it up! Any info would be appreciated.

Hi you will prob find the hot outlet pipe has been capped and the electrical supply disconnected . In some instances taking them out causes to much damage so they are just left ....
Hope that helps
