Anyone got any insight about why the road markings haven't been completed since Duke St got resurfaced between the John Knox St and Bellgrove? They were refreshing the ones continuing up to High St and coming down John Knox the other day but Duke St remains road marking free from there up to the brewery main gates and then only partial finished up to Bellgrove and some drivers definitely need the guidance.

Such is the power of the internet that on reaching the Melbourne St. junction on Duke St. this morning I found that the road markings have miraculously appeared (although not sure how some cars are going to fit into the outside west bound lane at the John Knox St junction?)! By this afternoon, they'd even got the pedestrian crossing working.
Maybe need to mention a few other things that need fixing around Dennistoun here and they'll get fixed?

I understand why they're resurfacing, it's why the incomplete road markings I don't get (and the inoperable pedestrian crossing)? The whole point of a road race, is it's on public roads, street furniture, road markings n all - they resurface most of the roads for the Tour de France but don't mean they leave out the road markings. Consequently, some people are having difficulty knowing which side of the road to drive on. Is there a paint shortage?

It's for the commonwealth road cycle race.

It's like that in Glasgow Green and London Road too. Seem to be resurfacing all over.
