Was there blocks of flats on the Gallowgate directly across from St Mungos Academy? Starting just after the Bellgrove Hotel? I know there were some across the pool which were demolished but need to know if there was ones further along.

Yes!! Â there were tenements stretching from the Bellgrove Hotel to Millerston st.

I got a bus along the Gallowgate yesterday and noticed it was a bit "bare" looking. Â I think the trees have recently been cut down.

Yes, mentalist they've knocked down the walls along that bit and are flattening it all out. I could have swore the flats didn't go as far as that. Guess I've lost that argument!!

It wasn't really tenemants. It was more single story flats. Looked really odd looking. I had a mate who lived in the ones across the road from St. Mungos.
