Definitely was not Shoprite.  There was a More Store there for a good few years.

Definitely KwikSave to the left of Iceland. Somerfield took over the KwikSave chain and moved into the unit on Alexandra Parade, closing their Finlay Drive store (former Dennistoun Palais).
To the right of Iceland was "Your More Store"

It was called the MORE STORE, the co-op is now where kwik save was :)

the dates in question 1996-1998 it was defo not kwik save as somerfield took over the kwik save in 2004 so i would still believe shoprite as that is what the store was before kwik save

Shoprite's brief existance in Scotland ended in 1995, so it would have been KwikSave from then until Somerfield took them over in 1998 (or possibly a bit later as it would have taken them some time to re-brand the shop and close their Finlay Drive store). I moved to Dennistoun in September '96 and it was definitely KwikSave then.

I can guarantee that it was Kwik Save that was there during the 96-98 period as this was where I worked when I left school. The store to the other side of iceland was the More Store

It was never Shoprite.
