Please tell me this is a case of jungle drums. I've just had someone in work ask me how I feel about the curfew. I asked what she meant and she said she had heard that theres some sort of curfew during the Commonwealth Games.
Im sure shes picked it up completetly wrong!

Heard there is a curfew in Dalmarnock but nothing as far as Dennistoun is concerned.

Im sure we would have needed to be told by now if there was. Can't imagine the residents of Dalmarnock being too happy!

Apparently there was an article in the papers about putting a curfew on children past a certain time at night (early evening) because the athletes went to bed early

Google and Twitter searches shed no light at all on this.

Police Scotland responded to a telephone enquiry stating that they know nothing about a curfew of any nature in the East End, in relation to the Commonwealth Games or otherwise.

police scotland have a facebook page , they would have to enforce a curfew so I have asked them about it and am awaiting a response. Apparently the rumours are spreading from people who say they have received letters from their housing ass but I haven't seen one.

apparently on the bike trials race going up Cumbernauld road people who live in Moodiesburn have been told to be out their house if they are going to work at a ridiculously early time. My son-in-law who is out very early in the morning cannot go his usual way to work and has now to travel onto the motorway via Baillieston. Thankfully it is just one day of disruption in this area

Jay, you're right. I work with a lot of people from Moodiesburn who have had to take holidays because of this. Unfortunately some don't have any holidays left so are having to work time back.

There might as well be.  Try getting about over the next few weeks.

I know, it's a bit concerning how many road closures there is. And I don't know about anyone else but my work are being less than sympathetic. I'm trying to remind myself, it's only a week and a half...

My work don't give a toss either. Get in, or else. Can't get any leave either.
