Factors

Hi,
Any idea where to go with this? Its now more than a year since our factor collected nearly £2k EACH from us for close, but the work is not started. I understand there is 1 non payer.
I am moving house in new year, and the state of the close will have a big bearing on my ability to sell. I've spoken to factor til I am blue in face.
Any ideas how I get this moving or if all else fails get my £2k back to make up some of the the shortfall in my deposit that is going to come from underselling flat due to close?

In cases where the majority of owners have paid and the work is for the maintenance of the property, the factors can approach Glasgow City Council under the missing shares scheme. If funds remain in the annual allocation the council make up the difference, then pursue the negligent owner for their share plus a 15% admin fee. Given that seven owners have paid I'm surprised your factor hasn't already done something about this. I'd suggest taking a look at the factors code of conduct. Most reputable factors should abide by this.

Thanks Frank, I understand they have approached the council and the council have agreed this, yet still they are stalling on starting work. I will have a look at that code of conduct, thank you!
