Strong smell

Did anyone recently have problems with smells coming from their drainage systems, I called scottish water and they came out and said the drainage pipes were all fine as it smelt similar to sewer gas?? I live on meadowpark street. Just want to double check it wasn't a one off thing because I seen pipe specialists at the nearby primary school. Any help appreciated. It smells like ammonia/ rotten eggs.

I posted about this a few months back - maybe even as much as a year ago. The smell can be smelt as far away as where i work  which is up by the cineworld on Renfield Street.

Ive had this problem before, but not since I started flushing the drain once every 6 months with a pack of soda crystals and boiling water. Victorian drainage systems werent really built to cope with everything that goes down them unfortunately. Also worth fitting a hair trap to your bath/shower.
