flat broken into

Jess posted on the 30/11/2014 3:58:18 PM

Hi everyone.

We live just off duke street and our flat was broken into tonight. They smashed in a window in the back and climbed in that way. They stole:

-Samsung silver Google Chromebook (American plug with a white British adapter)
-navy blue dell studio 17 (49) laptop (very big and heavy)
-HP silver folio 13 laptop
-red 3DS

If you hear about any of these items floating around please contact me here or let the police know.

I've only lived in Dennistoun for three months and I'm really upset about this. I really love the neighbourhood and all it had to offer but this has really put me off. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I'd suggest letting the local pubs know about what you've lost. If you've had something knicked, the thieves normally hit the local boozers first to see if anybody wants to buy it. Worked for a friend of mine years back.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. We've started looking in the pawn ships in the area but hadn't thought about the pubs.

So sorry to hear about this Jess; I hope you recover items or insurance takes care of it.  I think this time of year can be worse for thefts as thieves think there might be gadgety Christmas presents around, unused and easy to sell on.

So sorry an unnerving thing for anyone to go through, please be assured though it could have happened anywhere! I got broken into when I lived in the West End in Kelvinbridge. I also live just off Duke Street have have lived here for nearly 8 years all good thus far - fingers crossed. I hope you have some insurance x

Heys, sounds odd but don't forget to keep an eye on gumtree as well, that's where my friend found most of their belongings when they got stolen!
