Lock tampering

We got back from being away over Christmas and our flat door lock was really sticky. We really struggled to get the key in and once it was, we could barely turn it or remove the key. We're not sure whether it had been tampered with but the lock from inside was totally fine. I'm always having issues with the close door and my flat door is closest to it so I'm quite wary, especially with all the break ins recently.

Our back close door is the same although you can't even get the key into the lock fully. Like yours it happened over Christmas.
The lock mechanism inside the close works fine but on the outside the key only goes in about half way. not sure if something has been jammed into the key hole but it does feel a bit sticky which makes me think its been tampered with.
Emailed our factor about it as the door keeps getting left ajar so folk can get back in easier. also means that everyone else can get in easier too tho!

make sure you report any lock you think has been tampered with to the police. if it feels sticky squirt some fairy liquid into it and onto your key this will loosen it if its because of the cold weather.

Lucky our close doors can only be opened by a fob. And theyve not been kicked in for oooh 3 months! But one of them it VERY slow to shut so anyone could tail gate you.
