Garthland Drive paint spillage

Woman dropped a full tin of paint // yesterday around 5pm and made no effort to clean it up now half the street is covered in paint as people's cars have driven over it. Can't believe she made no attempt to clean it up. I know what close she lives in, is there someway she should be responsible for the cleanup? as this end of the street now looks horrendous

How on earth would you clean a full tin of paint up? Genuine question.

Rags, towels and soapy water to at least wash it into the side of the road and rain will fade it away over time. It does look absolutely ridiculous. If any splashed into my car it would be a criminal damage claim getting flung at her.

I wondered how it had happened. What an idiot. It looks a total mess. I was going to phone council on Monday to see if they could do anything to clean it up. If you know who she is and where she lives you should report her.

Seriously guys, catch a grip. It must have been an accident. This "name her" stuff is unseemly

Whats reporting her going to achieve? It was an accident.

It's not like she did it on purpose like driving the wrong way up a one way street repeatedly.

Accidents happen. It will fade.

Not as bad as the overgrown hedges, litter, over-flowing bins and piles of dog poo all over Dennistoun. Give the poor woman a break!

The other alternative is to put a note on the close door saying whoever spilled paint on the road could they either try to clean it up or contact the Council. It was obviously an accident but if it was me i'd have tried to clean it up. For all we know she doesn't know what to clean it up with and that's why it's not been done!!

Get a grip hasn't she been punished enough paint is not cheap these days

@curiouscat
I think I know the "overgrown hedges" that your talking about //, if its annoying you then you can phone the city chambers, ask for the highway dept and report a hedge obstructing the pavement.
they will send an inspector out to have a look at it and will talk to the householder

I had to take my car to the car wash to get the paint off the bodywork and wheels. She should have made an attempt to clean it up.
