margarets chip shop was just up from the louden bar, best chippy in dennistoun, was always mobbed, she was related to ' nan ' who had the fruit shop down the road, and wullie and jimmy hamilton who had the stables in glenpark street.

Anyone have black and white photos of Glenpark Street in the forties or fifties.

I "worked" in the stables with Wullie Hamilton for couple of years helping out with the horses and carts and making bunches of sticks for the fire upstairs in wullies place. Dogging school as well. Loved it,

My mother's family lived in 16 Glenpark Street 1917 - 1944 ish, also Glendale street, can anyone remember the Smiths? Robert was father, Lizzie mother of 9, Frances was my mother, or have old pics of this area. Would love to find out more about her past.

Hi I'm just doing some research for my son as he wants to trace his family tree and I have found my mums birth certificate. She was born at number 23 Glenpark Street in 1923. If anyone has a picture of that area at that time I'd really appreciate if I could get a copy please.
Cheers

Does anyone know if the stables mentioned by Norman Smith were near Bellgrove St? My grandfather stabled a horse somewhere near Bellgrove St in the 1950s/early 1960s.
