Fair Monday 1966

Can any of you good people of Dennistoun tell me what date was Fair Monday in 1966? I've googled it and it says that it was July 18th and it was the second Monday of the month which is contradictory; the 18th was the third Monday of the month. I was in Dennistoun at this time and went on holiday during the fair fortnight but can't remember the exact date.

It was July 18th in 1966.
Calculating when the Glasgow Fair occurs isn't always easy.
The actual day of calculation is the Saturday, which is why it is called the Fair Weekend officially, and the Fair starts on the first Saturday after the second Monday which in 1966 was Saturday 16th.
