Alexander McNeill, a beloved member of the community, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023. He was a remarkable individual who dedicated his life to building a successful bakery business and touched the lives of many through his hard work and generosity.

Born and raised in the vibrant east end of Glasgow, Alexander McNeill embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 1972 when he opened his first bakery shop near Glasgow Royal Infirmary. His passion for baking and commitment to quality quickly gained recognition, allowing his business to thrive. The bakery later relocated to Duke Street, and eventually settled at its final location on 400 Cumbernauld Road, where it became a beloved institution in the local community.

The funeral service to celebrate the life of Alexander McNeill will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Stepps Parish Church. The ceremony will be a private gathering for close family members, followed by a public gathering at Daldowie Crematorium at 1pm, where all who knew and appreciated Alexander are welcome to pay their respects.
