Proprietor of The Hardware Hut retires
Mr Singh, the proprietor of The Hardware Hut on Alexandra Parade for over 30 years is retiring. He provided the people of Dennistoun everything they could possibly need when it came to general household goods.
Our local hospital has a friends group with the aim to raise money to celebrate the heritage and history of Glasgow Royal Infirmary. There first project is to create a small medical history museum situated at the original entrance to the hospital looking onto Cathedral Square.

Work is ongoing to some of the roads in Dennistoun to create a low traffic neighbourhood. This is a Glasgow City Council Spaces for People programme designed to reduce motor traffic and provide a quieter, safer environment that will encourage cycling and walking.

The TSB branch on Duke Street is planned for closure on the 10th February 2021. This is due to the vast majority of everyday transactions now being done digitally.
